I’m trying to find the best way to add my blog posts to the product pages in our store. The quickest solution I could think of was to create a new template for the products that need blog posts added, add the post in the template, and apply template for the product. But this will eventually be difficult as I need to deal with templates every time I need to add a blog.
Also I found another solution in this community but that’s for adding blog posts for whole collections, which doesn’t really work for us. Any pointers to a solution is highly appreciated.
@Petfly Thanks, this is promising. I’ve followed the steps you’ve given but the product page is not showing the posts(metafield urls). Here are some screenshots if you can take a look please.
I’ve used Related Products & Blogs and it’s so full of bugs. When linked blogs or products have been deleted from Shopify Admin it doesn’t update in Related Products & Blogs and then when it comes to output on the stores frontend it doesn’t display at all. Support is pretty bad too, they take too long to get back to you, say they’ve fixed it and haven’t. It’s not worth paying for IMO.
One alternative you could look at is the Magefan Blog app. It supports bidirectional related posts/products. That is, when you assign products to a post, the blog posts automatically appear on the related product pages as well.
Might be worth checking if you are still looking for this functionality.
