Temporary solution: I changed my category to a “furniture electronics” that allow 2 color attributes I can use. In addition to the normal “color” attribute, there is a second “color top layer” attribute.

So, for now my I have to delcare my product a furniture until shopify allows using these swatches in a more dev-friendly way.
