How can I add extra cost to product variants without an app?

Is there a way for the Product Variants to be an additional cost to the product price.

When I setup a variant - this removes the Product Price and I have to combine the additional cost.

I would like to keep the Product Price but have additional variant to be added to this price - without using an app.
