How can I add history-based breadcrumbs to Dawn Theme 9.0?

Wondering how I can get history based breadcrumbs added to my Dawn theme? I searched online and could only find info on 2.0 which didn’t work.

My header.liquid file did not contain anything stating breadcrumbs. I searched CTRL + F and visually checked. maybe because I am on Basic Plan?
