How can I add image links and directly upload videos in the Dawn theme?

Hello All,

  1. We want to add product Link to the image slider so that we some one clicks it should redirect.

  2. Shop Now Button Location as per our Position can we do in shopify ?

  3. Add Direct Video in the Slider without using Youtube or Vimeo.

Hi @Upavan ,

Some interesting questions and I’ll address them one by one!

  1. With Shopify free themes, whether they’re Vintage or New like Dawn, it is currently possible to create a button on the slider that customers can click to head to a collection, product, page, or blog.

You can choose between a solid button or a button with just an outline:

2. I don’t fully understand your second question, could I please ask you to rephrase that for me slightly?

  1. At the moment it is not possible, natively, to include a video on your store through anything other than a YouTube or VIMEO link. Part of the reason for this is that it means that the content is not hosted on your website and so won’t slow site speeds down. Here is a list of all supported customizations by Shopify Support.

That said, you might be able to include content on your theme through the help of some custom coding, which we do not support ourselves. You could perhaps consult a Shopify Expert to see if they can help.

2nd question is

We want to Place SHOP Now button as per our location or based on the Banner Template. But in Option we get few option like bottom left , Middle Center Etc.

Can you help with some Code.

IF you see the live Banner where shop now is there we want to keep redirecting page.

While we like to provide the best support possible, we cannot help with code changes unless they are in our list of supported customizations that I provided you earlier in our exchange.

I understand that you would like to place the Shop Now button in a custom location on the slider. This is not currently possible natively, nor can our support implement this for you. I recommend that you reach out to Shopify Experts who are a team of third-party developers who can make custom changes to your store on a contracted basis.
