How can I add internal notes to orders without showing them on the packing slip?

Hi

I’m a pretty new user of shopify.

For orders that I create in the back office, I would (sometimes) like to add some internal notes to explain some details to the person that will do the picking.

The notes field that exists, also appears on the packing slip which is not the intention.

Is there an option available?

Hi @TomDP

If you do not want to show the notes fields on packing slip then you can remove the “notes field” section by updating the template of “packing slip”.

To update packing slip template, following below steps -

  1. In your store’s Shopify admin, go to settings

  2. From the settings options, select “Shipping and delivery” option

  3. Scroll down to ‘Packing slip template’ and click on edit button

  4. This will show the HTML template of “Packing slip” from which you can remove the “notes” section
