How can I add multiple items to each category in my online store?

Hey I am just looking some feedback on my store which is going live in a week. Also if you see on the screen grab below…I want to add specific items to each category (beauty, spa and massage) however I can only seem to be able to add 1 single item to each category ? Anyone any ideas?

Hi @mgraham_1212 ,

This is Richard - CRO Expert at PageFly - Shopify Advanced Page Builder app.

Congrats on your new store! From my CRO expertise, I’d love to give you my suggestions as hereby:

HOMEPAGE

1. Add favicon to your homepage

Favicon will help your visitors locate a web page more easily. It also plays an important role in conveying trust about your brand.

2. Add featured products on the hero banner

By showcasing featured products in the hero banner, you can quickly communicate the most important and enticing products to your audience. Besides that, visitors are more likely to click on a featured product in the banner than they are to scroll down to find it, and remember your brand and return to your website in the future.

3. Customize the Testimonial section

When you go live and have sales, you can add Testimonials. Customer reviews are proof of your product quality. This section will help you build customers’ trust. You can show rating stars for each product or you can add customer reviews with both texts and photos to increase the legislation, like this:

4. Add more content in your homepage

4.1. Add blog section

The website has a blog section that provides customers with useful information and tips on choosing the jewelry. This can be a valuable resource for the ones who are looking to find the suitable ring, necklaces, etc

4.2. Add a section about brand history

Adding a brand history section on the homepage can establish credibility, create an emotional connection, provide context, and differentiate from competitors. Sharing the brand’s backstory can help visitors understand its legitimacy, reputation, and evolution.

PRODUCT PAGE

1. Style Product Price to Be Highly Visible

Without a clear price, users cannot evaluate a critical aspect of the product. You should place the product price in the “Buy” section and increase its visibility by using a large font size (similar in size to the product headline), bold text style, or eye-catching color.

2. Include both User rating average and number of ratings

Many users rely on ratings and reviews to select products and displaying them right on each product in the first place can quickly build your credibility. For example:

3. Always include quick Add to cart buttons in product lists

It will save customers the trouble of having to click on a product in order to add it to their cart.

Furthermore, pagespeed is extremely crucial for both buyer’s experience and Google ranking, so you could consider Shopify themes made to help you boost Google pagespeed score for your store such as Blum, Refresh, Dawn, etc

Hello @mgraham_1212 ,

This is Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $5Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.

After examining your store, I found some improvements you can make that could increase your sales.

  1. Add favicon to your store which is a small square image/logo that appears next to a web address. Favicon helps to strengthen your brand and add a polished look to your website. See shopify help here
  2. Add a form in the Contact Us page for better customer interaction.

  1. Create a Facebook account for your store. Having a Facebook Store is a great way to grow your business, allowing you to tap into new audiences and gain more customers.
  2. Add filters in collection pages to help your visitors narrow in on the specific product they’re looking for and find products they might be interested in based on certain features (e.g. size, color, category)
  3. Add sorting feature in collection pages for changing the order of any product listing whereby users can choose which criteria they want the products to be listed by.
  4. Showing your average rating gives your shoppers quick information to make purchase decisions. Average ratings provide you with feedback on popular and unpopular products that you can use to make changes.
  5. Add sticky header
Adding sticky header allow users to quickly access the navigation, search, and utility-navigation elements without scrolling up to the top of the page. They increase the discoverability of the elements in the header and the chance that users will take advantage of them.
  6. Use blogging
Blogging is a great technique to increase the traffic and ranking of your website. If you blog consistently with high-quality content over a long period, your site will rank higher for specific keywords or topics.
  7. Add data policies (Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Refund Policy) to your store which helps set expectations with your website visitors. They’ll know the types of data you’re collecting, why you’re collecting, protects the seller from bad customers and ensures that buyers know exactly what to expect when they order a product.

In terms of adding specific items to each category, you should be able to add multiple products to each category in Shopify. You may just need to adjust the settings or layout of your category pages to display all of the products you’ve added.

One suggestion would be to create subcategories within each main category to better organize your products. For example, under the “Beauty” category, you could have subcategories such as “Skincare,” “Makeup,” and “Haircare.” This would allow you to add multiple products to each subcategory and make it easier for customers to find what they’re looking for.

Overall, the key to a successful Shopify store is to prioritize user experience and make it as easy and intuitive as possible for customers to find and purchase your products. Good luck with your launch!

Gina

Hi @mgraham_1212 ,

You must to add collection link in your menu instead of product link.

Hi @mgraham_1212 ,

You’ve done a great job on your site so far! I suppose the thing to consider is that you want to have a clear mission statement that differentiates you from your competitors.

When you say that know exactly what your customer wants, and you list “Quality products, secure payments, and fast shipping!” you are no doubt aware that this is a very common pitch from a lot of stores. So is there a unique selling point about your brand that you’d like to promote? If you’re unsure about how to define your USP, here is our guide to What Is a Unique Selling Proposition? (Plus 10 Examples).

Also, consider how you’re going to connect with, engage with, and market to your target audience. You’ll need to learn who your target audience is before coming up with your content strategy to speak to them and promote your store.
