How can I add payment icons to the Porto 3.5.1 theme footer?

Hi,

I need urgent help please. I am trying to add payment icons on my website using the Porto 3.5.1 theme. I want my payment icons to show up at the bottom under the copyright footer. I have used and seen the help center section which shows replace the code in the footer

{% for type in shop.enabled_payment_types %}

then replace it for the other.

The problem is I can’t find that code anywhere in the foot or theme code page. No where on any code page in the back end have I got any code that says payment.

I have tried looking on the website editor but shows nothing in the footer setting section that allows me to enable payment icons.

Would really appreciate somebody that can help or advise me on what do and how?

That’s a great question. These sections and code should show if it’s a Shopify-supported theme. So it seems likely that the theme you’re using isn’t supported by Shopify or by a third-party developer outside of our ecosystem.

Can you let me know where you got this theme from?

I would suggest switching your theme to a theme in our theme store. This will ensure you can follow help guide steps without causing any issues to your theme, as well as ensure that your apps and features work correctly. Our developers always make sure that the themes are updated for any new features from Shopify and themes outside of our ecosystem may not be.

If you would still like to continue using an unsupported theme you can reach out to Shopify Experts to help code this feature in for you or reach out to the developer you received the theme from and ask if they have a help guide to help add icons to the footer section.

Thank you so much for your reply, really appreciate it.
I understand what you are saying but the theme we are using is a Shopify theme as far as we are aware. The theme we are using is the Porto 3.5.1 theme. As far as I remember in the beginning we did have the payment icons showing and then some time later they disappeared, cant remember when and how but they did. I can find the payment section in the theme design but it doesn’t do anything apart from shows me the source on the payment .png file. I have attached a screen dump to see if it makes sense to you.

So it looks like your theme is actually from a third-party website. You can find their page and support here. Shopify’s theme support covers themes built by us and our developers, you can read more about theme support here.

If it was working before I would suggest to re-install a fresh theme of your store or reverting the changes to a previous theme you have saved in your settings. Otherwise, you can reach out to the theme developers for this theme and they should support it.

If you’re still in the early stages of your store setup, I would highly suggest checking out our themes available here. They’re constantly updated and we support them.
