How can I add tables in a Rich Text metafield for Variants?

Hello people,

So I created a metafield called “Variant Description” because I wanted to add a different description for each Variant.

In the regular Product Description , I can add tables directly from the editor or I can copy paste tables from Excel to the editor, both things that this metafield does not let me do. Any ideas? please help. Thank you in advance.

An option is to use a single/multi line text field and paste HTML code which you can conjure in product description editor and reveal by using </> button on the description RTE for copy.
