How can I add Tawk.io as a 3rd party chat support to my website?

Hello,

I’m currently using “Shop” app for my shopify website chat support. I want to disable this and add a new 3rd party vendor called “Tawk.io”. Tawk isn’t listed as a native app in the directory. Instead they provided a “Direct Chat Link” URL to copy and paste for our website chat support. I’ve reached out to Shopify support and they weren’t able to help. They suggested, reach out to the developer community. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You don’t necessary need another 3rd party to have Tawk.io implemented. Tawk also provides a code snippet that can be added within your website - doing so it would display the chat widget based on your tawk dashboard modifications.

Another alternative can be to create a button and append the Direct Chat Link to it.
