How can I add variant price quantity breaks to a catalog without specifying a company location?

I can add quantity breaks to a product variant from the Shopify frontend without needing to add the catalog to a company. However, the same action can’t be performed via the API, as quantityPricingByVariantUpdate mutation requires a companyLocation.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
