How can I adjust free shipping threshold to $100 in Shopify?

Hey guys so Shopify automatically is offering free shipping on order of $50 or more and I don’t want that because the label price is already so much I don’t wanna lose out on more money can someone please tell me how to change it to $100 or more for free shipping ?

Hi, @Bronzebynaz !
Thanks for reaching out in our Community Forums and for sharing your concern, I’d be happy to help.

It looks like you need to make some adjustments to your shipping rates as you want to offer free shipping over $100 instead of $50. This is definitely possible and should take a few minutes to accomplish. Feel free to review our Help Center guide to make these changes. You will likely already have a rate set up and can click on the three dots to edit it with the new amount.

Have you thought about making the price a core component of your shipping strategy? This will allow you to offer free shipping, all while maintaining profits. To learn more about this, please visit our Shopify Blog here.

Once you’re able to resolve this, I’d love to chat with you more about your business! I see you’re a new community member and it sounds like you may still be in the process of setting up your store. If you’re interested, we have some great resources to help you get started. What stage are you at in setting up your store?

Please feel free to let me know here if you need any further assistance.

Thank you !!! Appreciate it!

Oh Im not familiar with that what do you mean by core component
My site is up and running but I’ve only had 1 sale so far it’s been 2 months im still a newbie would love some help

Hi again, @Bronzebynaz !

Thanks for following up.

Congratulations on your first sale! Let’s hope to keep that momentum going as you’re growing your business. By the term ‘core component’, I meant that your shipping cost can be the main factor of your shipping plan. For instance, you can look to offer free shipping by raising the price of your products slightly to account for this. On the other hand, you can offer exact shipping costs, or flat-fee shipping costs. Let me know if you’d like some more information regarding this.

I’d love to provide you with some feedback on your newly developed store. Feel free to share your URL if you’d like! In the meantime, you can check out our Shopify Store Launch Checklist as this provides a methodical approach to ensure that everything in your store is optimized for conversion.

I’d also like to touch on your marketing strategy. Do you currently have any active campaigns to promote your business? If not, feel free to check out our guide on ‘How to Increase Web Traffic’ as it goes over all the different tools you can use to drive more customers.

i have another question I just had someone contact me from Canada they wanna buy wholesale from me but I’m so confused on import tax and customs and sales taxes over there when you check out in cad it doesn’t add any tax just shipping

Hello, @Bronzebynaz !

Thanks for sharing some more information.

I do want to mention that it’s always best to consult with local tax authorities or a tax professional to verify that you charge your customers the correct tax rates, and to ensure that you file and remit your taxes correctly. It’s likely that you have not set up your taxes correctly for Canada. You can review our Canadian Tax guide that goes over how to set up taxes in your shop, and also goes over some important details to consider when it comes to duties and customs.

I also wanted to mention, great job with your shop. You have awesome product photos and your storefront is very easy to navigate. Have you thought about adding an appointment booking service to your shop? I can see that right now customers need to call in to book an appointment Your customers will essentially be able to view a calendar and book in a time slot with their selected services. and select their service. You can check out a few apps here!

In addition, I noticed that your product pages do not have any reviews. Adding reviews is a great way to get real customers to persuade new ones and allows potential shoppers to gather more information about the product. You can check out this resource on How to Encourage Customer Reviews to learn more about the methods on obtaining honest reviews and the benefits they have on your business.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Hey! @Bronzebynaz

You can do this with Cartly app, and also add other rewards as your shoppers add more items to their cart: as they add items, they unlock new rewards. (App here: Cartly Slide Cart Drawer - Cartly: Shopify Cart Drawer & Cart Upsell App 2025 | Shopify App Store)

:backhand_index_pointing_right: Here’s how you can set a $100 free shipping threshold using the reward bar feature:

  1. Navigate to Admin → Custom cart → Features → Reward bar and enable it

  2. Add a tier and choose Free shipping as the reward type

  3. Set the threshold to $100 in the Cart total field

  4. Configure your reward title (e.g., “Free shipping”) and select an icon

  5. Click Save to apply your changes

Important: You’ll also need to create a matching free shipping rule in your Shopify Shipping settings so the bar calculates correctly

The reward bar will show customers their progress toward the $100 threshold and automatically apply free shipping when your shppers reach it.

Hope this helps :sparkles::collision::hugs:
