I would suggest have a landscape photo for desktop and the portrait photo for mobile. You can create a section that would be specific for the desktop and/mobile. Check the video below

Hi @made4Uo , am I the only one who can see that second slide or everyone can see it? Because I just want to have one slide show that is perfect on a phone and desktop. Just one that is on the top of the page and matches the size for mobile and desktop. If everyone can see that second slide then that’s not it.
If you set it up to hide in certain devices, you should be able to see it in the theme editor but not when you open your website in the browser and change the screens

If you open the theme editor, find the section where you added the code, there should be a settings to hide on mobile, or desktop or not. Please check you theme editor, it is not a button, it is a drop down. The video shows exactly what to do

Yes, you will have to add two slideshows but it will show one in each device, as explained in the video. You cannot have one picture fits all, since every device have different screen size.
Is the part where you are removing visibility in the video, and if is, what is the time?
