it´s probably very simple: I want to change the banner size (decrease the height) for the desktop. For mobile the banner fits perfectly.

What are you hoping to happen when the height is smaller? Crop the image or reduce its width?
Keeping in mind that the cropping of width change could look rather odd on large screens.
to limit it´s maximal height so it doesn´t take almost the whole screen. so it looks like the mobile version
oh I mean to reduce its width and height.. not to crop it
