How can I adjust the width of my custom HTML widgets?

Topic summary

Goal: widen two Elfsight widgets (Instagram feed and Reviews) on a Shopify Brooklyn theme homepage to 1400 px so they align with product images, while remaining responsive across desktop, tablet, and mobile.

Context: Widgets are embedded on the homepage; user seeks a code-based solution and the exact file/location to edit.

Requests/Questions:

  • Provide the CSS/HTML code needed to increase widget width to 1400 px and keep responsiveness.
  • Specify precisely where to paste the code in the theme (e.g., theme.scss/theme.liquid/section snippet) and whether it should be applied once globally or separately for each of the two widgets.

Status: No confirmed solution or code provided in the visible posts. The original poster has followed up and is awaiting guidance; the issue remains open.

Hi

I am currently using the Brooklyn template and have a couple of Widgits by ‘Elfsight’ on the homepage of our website - these shows an Instagram feed and also Reviews.

I would like to increase the width of both of these sections to 1400pix wide so that they aligns nicely with the product images above them.

Obviously I need to ensure that this will still work fine across desktop, mobile and tablet.

Would you be able to share the code/destination so that I can update this please?

Thanks very much!

Steve

Hi

Thanks very much for the response.

Can you please confirm where I need to copy and paste this code? - and will I need to do it for each of the 2 widgets, or just once?

Thanks again

Steve

Appreciate it if you could come back to me. Thanks again
