I would like to add a vote to this feature. I want to offer one free sticker (usually $1 each) to every order. So if I add a $1 discount when a sticker is added to a cart, my customers can’t use any other existing discount codes that are being offered.

Versus not giving them a way to apply a discount at all so the drop off happens in checkout.. Until such time as a cleaner solution is available you need to examine that logic and prioritize some ab testing to confirm the conversion rate for one approach versus the other.
