How can I alter the search icon placement on mobile view?

Hi guys,

Not sure is this is the right category for my question; is it possible to change the placement of the search icon on mobile view? Because of a wishlist app that inserts a heart icon in the header, the logo isn’t centered anymore.
this is only an issue on mobile view. On other Shopify websites that uses the same theme (Dawn) I often see the search function is placed in the menu above the menu items.
would live to know how I can do this, thanks!

I appreciate that you have included the name of the theme you are using as that is very helpful! Looking into the Dawn theme, there is not a method to move the search icon for the mobile version of the theme using the Theme Editor. However, you could make a custom coding change to the theme to have the search icon displayed where you would like. Since the Dawn theme is designed and supported by Shopify, we can use free design time for Shopify themes to have our internal team make the changes on your behalf.

If you are interested in using the design time, you will need to login to your store using our Contact Us page. This will allow us to securely verify you as the store owner before speaking directly with a Support Advisor about the changes you would like to see.

That is a great question! You can select the topic Starting a store to see the options to Get Support listed towards the bottom of the page. This will allow you to speak with a Support Advisor about the use of design time on your online store.
