How can I apply auto discounts to specific customer segments?

I want to discount my email subscribers 10% on all orders automatically. This encourages them to subscribe (and not unsubscribe) and makes it easy for them to enjoy the discount (no codes required).

This is not possible in shopify right now. I can apply discount codes by customer segment but not automatic discounts.

This seems crazy to me. Is there a workaround or any plans to fix this?

There are many Apps available for automatic discounts for specific users or user groups.

This is one of the Apps that can offer automatic discounts.

However, some Apps are paid Apps and you may need to subscribe to their services.

Hope Shopify service includes that function with Basic Shopify shortly.

I noticed this too… Automatic discount does NOT apply to customer segments but CODES do… this is just stupid.

Shopify needs to add automatic discounts to customer segments.

Does stack ninja work with express checkout? I recently installed another app and it told me it was not capable of applying the discount if customer chose the express checkout?
