  1. Are you trying to create an automatic discount, or a discount code that customers have to enter manually at checkout?
  2. What products count for “buy x”? Is it a specific collection that triggers the discount, or just a specific product/variant?
  3. What if there are Y products in the cart, but no Z? Will the discount still apply?
  4. Likewise, what if there are Z products in the cart, but no Y?

Hi, yes thats what i need.
The discount is on all products in the site, just pick the 2nd item and its
30%, pick the 3rd item and its 50%

You can set this type of volume discount up in our app, Regios Automatic Discounts (4.8 stars, Built for Shopify).

Here’s a screenshot of what your quantity breaks should look like:

With the other settings on default, this discount will apply based on the quantity of items in the cart.

I used the “Advanced options” on volume discounts, and set the “Compare by” setting to “Equals (==).” This way, the discount will only apply when the cart quantity is 2 or 3, but nothing higher or lower:
