Hey smart people of shopify. I have this idea, im not sure how to execute on this, just looking for some solutions on feedback.
Our store would be based off of exclusivity and limited orders. Lets say our custom product have inventory of 200, which means only 200 people can order 1 unit each. It would be limited to 1 per customer and that customers order placement would go on the product. So the first person to order would have the #1 on the product when they receive it. 54th person that placed it would get #54, etc etc. When they finish the purchase, i would like to provide them what placement they were at from 1-200 based on when they placed the order. When we do different product, it would follow the same principle so it cant have duplicating order numbers so we can incorporate 2 unique letters at the beginning (AA001) and the next product can be (AB001).
