Hi Shopify community,
Our store offers big garden pieces made out of wood. Usually, when our buyers order the piece it takes us a couple of weeks to build and ship it.
We would like to charge a 25% or $400 deposit, and not require full payment in advance for the piece.
There are a couple of scenarios that we would like to have:

deposit paid, but can be refunded within a certain period (with or without any penalties)

deposit paid, then refunded after the full payment was made
-
deposit paid as one of the instalments
-
deposit paid by card and rest paid in cash
We’ve seen there are ways to do that with the Shopify core function (splitting payments) but that’s too much manual work, and we would like to have it automated in order to focus on our job.
The apps we looked into does not seem to have all the functions we require.
Does someone have a similar issue?
We’ve gone thru a lot of posts here and tested many apps, but couldn’t find a proper solution.
