How can I automate FDA prior notice submissions for tea shipments?

Hello,

Does anyone have tips or an app they are currently using to automate submitting FDA Prior Notice? We sell tea to the US from Canada, and require it every time we send a shipment out. Using the FDA Online Account Administration is a definite time suck. Anyone doing the same thing and are doing it better? Would be so nice to have them automated directly from Admin.

I had tried installing it and didn’t particularly like it.

The app is integrated with Shopify.

Honestly, we agree with @Duncan33 that the FDA prior notice process is very complicated, and requires a lot of detailed information. However, once you get your products set up, the app is easy to use. And, as @Duncan33 says, it is still much better than doing everything manually!

We built NoticeFlow.ca and it’s been incredibly successful! Right now we are currently working on a Shopify Integration but its still very easy to use without one. Users can simply download the packing slips or invoices, or any PDF that shows the items in a particular shipment, and upload them to NoticeFlow, our team creates and FILES the Prior Notice directly with the FDA through a subaccount on your FDA portal. We then generate the PDF of the Prior Notice and attach it to the order.

Many of our users essentially upload their docs at the end of business and in the morning they open up the app and download the Prior Notice PDF’s that they attach to the shipment.

This system has been working wonders for Canadian clients and requires only a few minutes day for downloading and uploading invoices/Prior Notice PDFs.
