I’m looking for an app that will let me schedule automated markdowns according to rules. Meaning, in our sale section, if an item doesn’t sell after 3 weeks, we mark it down further another 10%. Is there an app that can automate this?
Yes, there are several Shopify apps that can help you schedule automated markdowns according to your specific rules. Here are a few options:
Disco: Flash Sales & Discounts: With this app, you can create automated sales campaigns that apply discounts to specific products or collections for a certain period of time. You can also set up specific rules, such as a discount percentage or a time limit, to trigger the sale.
Bold Discounts: This app allows you to create a variety of different discounts and sales, such as percentage-based discounts or buy-one-get-one offers. You can also set up specific start and end dates for each sale, and choose which products or collections the sale will apply to.
Sales Scheduler: This app lets you schedule sales for specific products or collections in advance, so you can plan out your sales calendar for the entire year. You can also set up multiple sales per product, and automate them to recur at specific intervals.
All of these apps should be able to help you automate your markdowns according to your specific rules. Be sure to check out the features and pricing of each app to find the one that best meets your needs.
How is the rest of your store coming along? As you continue to customize and further develop your store, have you looked into ways you can increase your store’s visitors, and increase conversions (that is turning store visitors into buyers)? Take a look at this blog post for some insights on how you can do just that, starting with your product pages! I’m sure this will prove invaluable for you as a merchant here at Shopify.
Thank you but these apps don’t offer the solution I’m asking for. I’d like to set a rule on certain items where if it doesn’t sell for a set period of time, the item will be further discounted.
Did you ever find an app for this?
It sounds like you are looking for the same thing we are.
Way back in the day, when I used another platform, I’d start an item off at a certain price, and every day, week, or month I would have it automatically decrease in price until it sold. It worked very well to keep inventory moving (even if it killed profits and hurt on some things.)
