How can I automatically apply a discount on orders over $75?

Hi All,

I have a question, hope someone can help me out.

I set up a discount / promotion on ‘Spend $75 or more, the customer will get a free candle.’ However, when I do a test for it. I put an order for $238, but the system not able to pick up this discount. The free candle did not show up. I have double check on the discount section and find out, actually the customer need to put that free candle into the cart themselves. That is not ideal. Is anyone know whether the system can generate this discount/promotion automatically? If so, how to set it up?

Hello @Emlam127 ,

That sounds strange but if it’s not working you can run a script when the cart total will reach $75.
In this way free products will be added to the cart.

Yes, the native Shopify BXGY discount is not intuitive since the customers have to add the gift manually.

My case is not exactly the same as your discount. Our app, BYOB can put the buy x products and get y products on the same page. So the customers can select everything in 1 place. Here’s a sample BXGY bundle you can try
