Proposed method (confirmed working):
- Run a full-store translation, then export translations via Settings > Languages > Export (CSV).
- Edit the CSV to keep only product titles: retain columns A (Product) and C (title); ensure column H is blank for those rows; delete other rows.
- Re-import the CSV with Overwrite selected. Blank values + Overwrite deletes the product-title translations, leaving titles in the original language while other content stays translated.
Issue and resolution for the original poster:
- Uploading the CSV initially returned “failed to fetch.” Staff requested the CSV and screenshots (images central), couldn’t replicate the error, but uploaded a trimmed CSV successfully and removed German product titles (leaving 7 that appeared intentional).
- Staff documented the self-service steps above; the original poster confirmed this solves the need.
New, unresolved report:
- Another user followed the steps but encountered import errors and noted their CSV appears to have all text in one column and an unexplained error about row 23. They attached screenshots (central to understanding). Awaiting guidance; no resolution yet.
