I am new to Shopify, and my business is new. Basically, my business is woodturning, making one of a kind pieces (see sky-exquisite-turnings.com for more if you like). I am also a beginner at marketing. So, I need help or advice on how to get going with the marketing aspect. I will appreciate your feedback, and I look forward to what you have to say.

Shopify Learn platform offers helpful free courses where you can learn how to promote your store and other useful information. This link might be helpful https://www.shopify.com/learn/browse/courses. Check the category MARKET & SELL including Marketing, Digital marketing, Social Media Marketing etc.
Also, check out Shopify App Store where you can find lots of handy apps. Most of them offer free trial period, so you can test what works for you s store the best.

In order to provide you with some tailored resources that will help you, are you able to tell us more about your store and its current analytics? What sort of information are you seeing? Possibly about traffic, conversions, etc. Any information that you can share will help other contributors and myself get a better understanding of your current situation.

Hello Daniel, Thank you for your comments and the links to resources, I will be checking them out. Basically, my store is still in its infancy. I make a variety of things, namely writing instruments, items for the dining room table or kitchen, and artistic vessels. That last one is new. It’s also where I get the greatest enjoyment in creating. As for my analytics, it doesn’t amount to much. I haven’t sold a darn thing online. But, I have sold several pens through a consignment shop. I have had trouble getting this website in gear, probably because this is all new to me. I have decided to use the services of a Shopify expert to get me going. We’ll see how that goes. I’ll keep you posted.

Thank you Growave for your response, and sorry for the slow reply. I will check out the courses. Basically, I am trying to absorb anything I can get my hands on. Some luck selling in consignment shops. Online still needs to get off the ground. So, I am getting help on that. We’ll see how it goes. Thanks again.

And we all have to start somewhere. Getting help that you need is definitely a good direction to go into especially with our Shopify Experts.
If you haven’t already, I also recommend you reach out to our live support team as well.
They are able to open up the back end information of your account and can walk you through whatever it is that you may need. I always recommend them to our new merchants as it is a great way to get assistance in real time and you and the agent can walk through your admin and settings together to see what other areas you may need help with or changes you are wanting to make. Definitely utilize them as they are available to you 24/7 via chat, email and phone queues.
