On the Shopify Dawn theme.
Almost all pages result with a low text/HTML ratio. A ratio of 0.01 to 0.04.
How can I improve the index and reduce the HTML?
We are getting the same errors which we did not have with our previous theme.
Does this have anything to do with the Dawn them?
What to do when you run an ecommerce site which consists mostly of images and your product specs and descriptions are presented in table format?
We always compress our photos and it’s a painful fact that shoppers don’t read! Adding text for the sake of fixing this issue seems pointless.
Is this something we need to worry about? If so, how to best fix this?

I also get ths error from SEMrush. Basicly all my pages are marked with this error in SEMrush. All tough mos of the have lots of text. plus 1000 words on most of the pages.
Has Shopify looked at this? Im using Dawn them
I too am using Dawm, looked on Semrush and everything is coming in at 0.01 to 0.04. Following to hopefully get an update.

We are experiencing the same issue with Porto Theme. Most pages fall between 0.04-0.10, hoping a new theme and upgrading to Shopify 2.0 will fix it. I haven’t been able to think or find a different solution. Lesson learnt.
anyone feel like it is a waste of time to add anything to these threads and that Shopify support has no idea how to solve a lot of the issues we experience? The lack of response is crazy. I feel like their boat is starting to sink.

Agreed. Rather than all of their customers chasing their tales about similar issues, it would be nice if they could resolve issues such as this for the good of the group or at the very least acknowledge the issue and perhaps point us in the right direction. The silence is annoying.

I use Custom template ks-custom-theme-bs5 version 1.0.0
I am looking into Dawn and I will update you if this new theme solves my problem.
I have over 6000 pages with same warning
