I spoke with a Shopify rep and they informed me they no longer have the Shipping Calculator to get an approximate idea of shipping rates. I actually used this for when I shipped personal items so I could have an approximate cost. They forwarded me to USPS/UPS websites to get a general idea but I want to know my Shopify rates.
We are also moving and I have a customer that wants to know what the shipping would be from our new location.
I guess I’m wondering if there’s an app I can add or just some way to find out what my Shopify shipping rates would be for new products, “one-offs”, etc. Or maybe a way to create a test draft order?!
You can definitely figure out the calculated shipping costs you can expect to pay by utilizing the draft order feature in Shopify. From there you can add the personal items and then add in the shipping. Once you do that, the calculated shipping options will appear for you:
Hey, Connie! That is correct, different package sizes can affect costs from different shipping couriers. The calculation uses your ‘default package size’ that you have selected in your Shipping settings during this calculation.
