How can I cancel my Shopify plan after the first payment?

I was trying out Shopify (My Mistake)

My first payment was on 18th November

Now since I don’t want to use it anymore, I am trying to cancel the plan but am unable to do so for 3 days as they are trying to charge me for another month excluding the 2 weeks trial

And unfortunately, there is no one else to reach out to

Hey @syedammadashraf .

Happy to help you out with your query today!

It looks like you are trying to close your store, however you are unable to do so due to having an outstanding balance that is due for payment. While it is disappointing to hear that you wish to close your store, I am happy to provide some advice. Before you close your store, you would need to settle your outstanding invoices before the system would allow a full closure. Three attempts will be made to take payment for these invoices, in this case, you would need to settle the invoices before you can close the account fully.

Alternatively, you can always let your account freeze and this would essentially close the store. Failure of all three attempts of payment would lead to freezing your account. In simple terms, this means you won’t be able to work on your Shopify store until the outstanding bill is settled. You can learn more about Frozen stores here. If you would like to learn how to close your store yourself, you can do so by following our help guide here.

With that being said, if you would prefer to speak with a member of your support team to help with closing your store, you can do so by heading to this link here. Simply type your query into the “ask about a topic” bar, then hit continue to support to access.

You can reopen your store at anytime, so don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about that or about starting a store, we are always here to help!

Have a great day.
