How can I change 'Add to Cart' to 'Order from Supplier' for certain products?

HI,

i have a mix of products in stock and available to order from my supplier (18000 and counting). I have the products listed on the website, and inventory location listed on each product, but i would like to change the add to cart button changed to order from supplier on the products that are in stock with my supplier and leave the add to cart for stock that i have in my store site. not sure if it is possible and i would like to have this as another prompt to customers that this is an order from supplier and it will take longer to get

Hi, here’s a screen shot of one of the products, as you can see it has the add to cart button, but we don’t have any stock locally, but we have 10 that we can order from the supplier, if possible i would like to have the add to cart button change automatically when it sells out locally but it can be ordered from supplier

I partially understood your requirement let me know if I understand it correctly.

  1. You want to create an option on the product that will let you remove the ADD TO CART button with Order from Supplier.

Now the question is what that CTA will do will it redirect to supplier product URL?

Yup, but it will still proceed to our checkout, just change the wording on available to order products, its more to make the customer aware that they are ordering a product that we order in , as we still have the odd customer who asks where it is, even though we have it in our checkout (with a pop-up that they have to accept) on the product page and in the order confirmation email

yup thats correct, the pop up is just a notice that says if you have brought an item that is instock with supplier that it may take two to three weeks to get in, they click ok and it goes away, doesnt do anything else.

You want the popup to be visible for only those items not in stock or you mark it for suppliers.

What if they cancel the popup?

they have to select ok on the popup, it comes up regardless, but having it for products that come from our suppliers location would be good
