How can I change the automation message for a contact form?

I am currently trying to change the automation message for our contact form but am having trouble finding where it is kept.

It looks like you’re using POWR forms on your site. I wasn’t able to figure out if this specific form is built through that app. If it is, these instructions should help. If not, let me know and I can dive in to it further.

If you’re using the native Shopify contact form, you can change the thank you message that appears after submitting the form through your theme’s language editor. You can follow the steps below to do this.

  1. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes.

  2. Click Actions > Edit languages beside your current or live theme to open the language editor.

  3. Type “Thanks for contacting us.” on the filter box. Alternatively, you can click the Contact tab.

  4. Edit the message on the text box underneath Post success.

  5. Click Save.

If you’re using a third-party app or custom coding to set up the form, the app’s support team or the developer who customized it can advise how to change the text, so you can contact them or view their support docs, just like what @asterly has shared.
