How can I change the fulfillment service for different orders?

Hello,

I would like to be able to choose my fulfillment service on the fly depending on the type of order.

But when we create a product Shopify forces us to choose a fulfillment service that can no be changed later with the API.

Why ?

I don’t understand this:

“An inventory item connected to a fulfillment service location can’t be connected to any other locations at the same time”

Does this mean that a product can only be at one location only ?

How can I choose among several locations when I process the order depending on the requested shipping time ?
