How can I change the 'Sale' icon to display discount percentage in the Dawn theme?

Hi Guys,

I would like to change the “Sale” icon on the Dawn theme to have a “-41%” or whatever percentage of the comparable price my customer sees. Any assistance on how to do so would be greatly appreciated.
