I’d like to change the text color of the “sort by” (sortieren nach) menu to black (without changing any other global colors) in order to make it better visable. The conventional solutions with base.css doesn’t seem to work.
I’m using the Dawn theme.

What is password for store? It can be changed by adding css of background: black to sort class in base.css file
