How can I change the tip language to donation on POS?

I would love the ability to edit the tip language on the POS system. I know you can change tip amount suggestions, but we’re a nonprofit and accept donations rather than tips. I would love to be able to edit that screen for customers to say “Donations” rather than “Tips”.

While the ability to edit the tip language is not available, I completely understand the need for this in tailoring your POS system, so I’m glad to submit this feedback to our development team. I have the same issue for our nonprofit. I can change the tip language in the online store but not in the POS system in our small bookstore. Very frustrating. Thank you for asking this question.

Please bump this for us as well. We do hundreds of thousands of dollars in POS donations and this would save us a lot of time and money.

I agree that this needs to be bumped, and honestly, it needs to be more than just the tip function. A roundup function is what should be added to allow non-profits to allow customers on the POS and online to round up their purchases as a donation to the institution.

As a nonprofit director, having the ability to ask for donations rather than tips is critical. I also love the idea posted here in the comments about a “round up” option. It is disappointing that Shopify has not made any progress on this issue after two years. Let’s go Shopify, be heroes and help support community nonprofits!
