I want to enable Multiple Currency. My store has INR but want to add Dollar for different country. I can see the “Shopify Payments is required to manage currency” in settings > markets . But I don’t know how can I enable. Please suggest.

To enable multiple currencies in your Shopify store:
- Set Up Shopify Payments:
->Go to Settings > Payments in your Shopify Admin.
->Complete the Shopify Payments setup if you haven’t done so already.
2)Enable Multiple Currencies:
->Navigate to Settings > Markets.
->Select your market or create a new one.
->In the Currencies and pricing section, enable Multiple currencies and add USD alongside INR.
3)Test and Publish:
Test the currency setup using a VPN or location-based tool.
This will let you offer multiple currencies to your customers.

To enable Cash on Delivery (COD) for USD in addition to INR, follow these steps:
1)Check COD Availability:
#Go to Settings → Payments in your Shopify Admin.
look for the COD payment method and ensure it is set up properly.
2Configure COD for Multiple Currencies:
#Navigate to Settings → Markets.
#Select your market where USD is applicable or create a new market if needed.
#In the Shipping and Delivery section, find the delivery zones associated with the USD currency.
#Ensure that COD is enabled for the USD market as well. You may need to configure this under the specific shipping zones where COD is offered.
3)Set Up Shipping Zones:
#Go to Settings → Shipping and Delivery.
#Edit the shipping zones that cover the regions where you want to offer COD in USD.
#Make sure that COD is included in these shipping options.
4)Test Your Setup:
#Verify the COD option for both INR and USD by simulating orders from different regions or using a VPN to check how it appears to users.
By following these steps, you should be able to offer COD for both INR and USD,
ensuring that customers in different currencies have access to this payment method.

I have already enabled COD and also I have placed some order by COD. I have added a new market for US but the Base currency field is disabled.

You will need to activate your Shopify payments if you want to enable Multi-currency feature. If you do not have the option under your >settings >payments to activate Shopify payments then, you will not be able to enable Multi-currency feature.

When creating a new market, Shopify automatically sets the Base currency based on the market type:
=>Single-Country Markets:
The base currency is set to the local currency of that country.
If the currency isn’t supported, it defaults to your store’s base currency.
=>Multiple-Country Markets:
The base currency defaults to your store’s base currency, but local currencies are enabled by default.
=>T ao Adjust Currency Settings:
1)Go to Settings → Markets in your Shopify Admin.
2)Select the market and click Products and pricing.
3)Here, you can activate or deactivate local currencies. If deactivated, all customers in that market will see prices in the market’s base currency.
Note: Local currencies must be deactivated to set up a manual exchange rate.
If you’re facing issues with the Base currency being disabled, it may be related to these settings.
