How can I clean up my master product tag list?

Hello

I need to clean up my master product tag list as I have a large number which are not used and it causes confusion.

To be clear, this is not removing tags from products, it is removing them from the main list so we don’t see them as an option.

Does anyone know of a way I can do this?

Your requirement is not clear like your store URL, where product tags are listed or shown.

Please share above information so that we could help.

The url for the site is www.heavenlychandeliers.co.uk, but I am not sure
this is relevant.

Let me try to explain a little better.

When adding/removing tags to a product, you go to manage tags (in the
product) and add what you want, or alternatively do this via some kind of
bulk process. All of that, but my master list is clogged with errors
because we have had multiple people working on tagging the products, as an
example.

Looking at the snip below, we have best seller and best sellers - I wanted
to clean up this pick list to ensure only the correct tags are chosen.

Hopefully I have explained a little better now.

@heavchan as you might be aware that Shopify doesn’t allow to change its admin settings externally.

I am afraid you have to do it manually as Shopify doesn’t give access to tags in API too.

This does not make sense considering it is us who have created these
specific tags, you’d think we would be able to manage our lists properly??

I am trying to do the same an CANNOT figure it out or fid any resources. Help lol
