To clarify, Customer Profiles consist of the order data that is automatically collected when a customer places an order. Whereas a Customer Account is created by the customer and used as a login for the customer to view their orders and profile information. This feature involves the merging of Customer Profiles only - I hope that helps clear up the confusion!
In this case, the customer profiles would merge the following information into one profile:
- orders
- draft orders
- addresses
- email address
- phone number
- name
- notes
- tags
- tax settings
- timeline events
