Hello, following an abusive DMCA complaint from a competitor, Shopify closed my site permanently (I still have access to my admin for 15 days, then my site will be permanently closed). The complaint says that I copied the text of a competitor, while this is false, I write my own product description.I opened my site for 7 years and now Shopify close it. How can I contest this closure?
Hi, @Manuel75 .
That is absolutely a frustrating, and unfortunate situation. Currently, as this is technically a legal situation, the only team that is able to assist you moving forward is our Trust and Safety team. The best advice I can provide is to reply directly to their email and request more information, and to plead your case. Our general advisors do not have access to these tickets, nor do they have the capability of handling these sensitive situations.
I wish you the best of luck moving forward.
Thank you for your response but I sent 2 emails pleading my case but received no response. it’s really frustrating. Could someone help me to export my data from my site to a new site?
Hi, @Manuel75 .
I’m sorry to hear you haven’t received a reply yet. Please note, it can take 5 business days depending on the current queue for a response to be received. This can also vary depending on the escalated team you are dealing with.
If our team provided that you are allowed to export your store data then we can absolutely assist! I would not be able to authenticate your account over the forum, however our live advisors can assist!
To speak to a live advisor, please visit our Help Center and log in to your account to create a support request through live chat, email, or callback. Once you have logged in to your account, type your request in ‘Ask about a topic’, scroll down to ‘Get Support’, and then click ‘Continue.’
I am in a similar situation. I keep responding to the trust and safety team but have received no response, it has been over 2 weeks.
Same here, did you find a solution?
