Issue: A new shop’s payouts haven’t reached the bank. Funds appear held because Shopify Payments wasn’t set up correctly and verification failed.
Cause: The merchant entered the store name instead of their legal name in the Shopify Payments verification field, so it doesn’t match their ID. The store owner name is correct in Settings, but they can’t find where to change the payments verification details.
Constraints: Account-specific changes to Shopify Payments details can’t be handled via the public forum; support needs to review documentation and update the information.
Next steps: Contact Shopify Support directly via the Help Center. Steps provided: go to the Help Center, enter “Contact Support,” log in to the shop, and choose an available support option.
Status: Unresolved/ongoing. Resolution depends on direct assistance from Shopify Support to correct the verification details and release payouts.
I’ve recently opened my shop and have realised none of the payments have been sent to my bank account. From my understanding it is because I have not set up Shopify Payments correctly so they are holding my money within my shopify account.
I need to verify myself and business within this page
