So I take it that there are no moderators with any interest or expertise in this matter…? Seems like 90% of posts go unanswered. And this is Shopify’s support system for its paying subscribers? What a crock!
Well, I have established a preposterous workaround for the problem. If you have 1000’s of products it won’t help. Luckily my attempts at bulk uploading failed so I have been adding items manually a few at a time and noticed the bug early.
So what have to do is add your VAT rate to your prices and then using the bulk edit feature in Products, uncheck the “Charge tax on this product” box. When an EU customer checks the price on the product page it still says “tax included” - and it is: AT THE CORRECT RATE! Thanks to the seller!
