How can I correctly place H1 tags on my homepage?

Hi,

I’m using neilpatel.com for seo and it says there is no H1 tags on the home page, blogs and contacts page. How and where do i need to put them? Although I’ve checked the Header Liquid and there is H1 tags however they are half way down the page. Are they meant to be at the top? Attached some pics of header liquid . thanks

Please share your store URL (with password if it is a development store).

I will check and let you know.

By default,most of these requirements are taken care when theme is getting developed itself.

Are you using custom theme?

I checked your home page and found out the following code.


Like most of the Shopify website, this tag is integrated for the logo, which is a common practice on themes.

neilpatel.com is also correct. There is

tag on your page but for SEO purpose, it is necessary to include a text in

as well; which the site does not have.

Having the keyword phrase/image in the logo won’t help your website SEO so if possible, remove that from the logo because you WANT that keyword phrase on the homepage and if it’s in the logo it won’t help your rankings.

It is better to have

on your main keyword (title),

HELPING PETS FIND HOME

(in this case).

Please let me know the theme you are using if you need help on finding the section where you need to change this.
