How can I create a horizontal button list for category selection?

Hello,

I am looking to create a horizontal list of buttons for category selection just like this site: https://www.redbubble.com/shop/posters

Any help would be appreciated. I imagine I could create a new menu and position it on the collection. Doesn’t need to scroll but would be amazing if possible! Perfectly happy hard-coding the menu as well.
