How can I create a pop up contact form for product stock inquiries?

I have a very specific question. I cant guarantee stock availability, so I need to create a button that will be on each product, that when clicked on will open a pop up with a contact form. Once “send” is clicked, an email should be sent to both me and the customer. The one I receive needs to have all the product details so that I can check the stock and reply to the customer with a yay or nay on the stock. The customer’s email would be a generic message that I can edit. What could you suggest? I don’t mind coding if I need to. If there is a free app available that would be great though.

As of now, we don’t have that feature available innately. However, I have found an app that can help you achieve this!

  • Back in Stock - Restock Notify: Using this app, customers can send a notification to let you know that they are interested in your product. This app has the ability to collect the customer’s email. Once you collect the customer’s email then you can send them an email regarding the product updates right through the app. As this is for ‘out of stock’ products, you’ll want to set your inventory accordingly. You can then customize the message from ‘our of stock’ to ‘contact us’ or something similar. For example:

Based on what you have shared, you could also consider hiring a Shopify Expert to help you make this customization on your theme. I suggest browsing the list of Experts that specialize in custom apps and integrations.
