If it is legal for you to sell live animals where you are, you should be able to do so via a store you create using Shopify.
As we’re not able to give legal advice from here, it would be your responsibility to ensure you are properly licenced and in compliance with any local laws.
In terms of practical steps, I know that payment gateways frequently have restrictions upon or extra requirements for certain types of business such as live animals.
As such, I’d recommend you spend some time researching the payment options available where you are.
If you’re happy to confirm in which country your store is based we can share a list of all the gateway available for use there so you can start to research some options.
I would also look into how you might be shipping or delivering your orders, as shipping carriers will also have restrictions in place regarding live animals.
