My site offers customisable clothing, and features 100s of fonts. Because there are so many fonts, I’d like a way to display all these in a preview. I had thought about a basic tumblr preview that just has some example text of each font as an image that a user can just scroll through, however, I’d really like an option where a customer can type their own text and get a preview, kind of like on 1001fonts.com
Has anyone any suggestions on how to achieve this?
It’s a great question. FontPeek is a tool that can do just that. It gives you a small code snippet that you put in your website which provides your users a textbox to safely preview your fonts without risking allowing them to download the font without paying for it.
Hey @WildTimberCo , there is no Shopify app. With FontPeek there are a few ways to get it to work with Shopify. Here’s a video explaining how. Hope this helps.
Is this a tool that anyone can use to let their customers preview their font selection? I am in need of a font text preview tool like yours to add to my Etsy shop. I have not yet created my Shopify website. I would like to add a link to my shop where a customer can preview their text in the different fonts I offer. How can I achieve this?
Thanks for reaching out. I recommend using the Showroom feature, where you have a page of font previews and then you add the link to your Etsy listings. Alternatively, you can also create a “Direct Link” to each font as needed by hitting the “Direct Link” button.
Hi. My search for a font preview led me here. Will this tool allow the user to see the preview as they type and then see the wording on the actual product?
What happened to FontPeek, is it not a thing anymore?? I always wanted to use it but the price tag was too steep but now the link is unavailable so maybe they gave up and closed down the website altogether?
