How can I customize my product page variant picker?

Hello! In my theme I have the choice of having my product variants listed as “Swatches” OR “Dropdown”. I would like my default product page to have the “swatches” (buttons is what I am used to calling them) AND to have the a different product page be “dropdown” (as there are many,many types to add and buttons would be messy). I can’t quite grasp where the ‘variant_picker’ section is getting its code from. Snippets? Anyways, I need your help please :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @merrytreeco ,

You just need to follow the instructions below to create a new template.

Then you choose the newly created template for ‘dropdown’ products and reset everything, it will work fine.

Thank you for your help! I have created a new template for the product page that I would like to have a dropdown menu on. I am having issues getting the right code in it for the dropdown feature. I have tried to switch the theme to dropdown and copied the page template. Then switched it back to ‘buttons/swatch’ and pasted the code for the dropdown page as before and got an error.

Please help, I feel like I am so close…this hurts! LOL
