How can I customize my website's background colors without coding knowledge?

I am finding it so difficult to even make my website. I can’t get the colors I want for a background in certain areas. I had no clue I was going to be typing in code, etc? I have no idea what liquid is. I am almost to the end of the free trial and no where near ready. Can anyone help at all?

You can change style on your site via file name: “theme.scss.liquid”.
Please follow these steps:

  1. From your Shopify admin, go to Online Store > Themes > Select your theme.
  2. Click Actions > Edit code.
  • Find with text “theme” so you’ll see the file name: “theme.scss.liquid” and you can change style for your site in this file.
