How can I customize product images for each item on my online store?

I have a shop online. You build the product. IE. Hat base, hat ribbon, and hat trim. I have images of each component and wanted to add the images to the site so that as you click the various options the hat starts to appear. Is this possible? I have uploaded images in ‘product’ on one ‘HAT’ however it seems to be showing in all of them.Can anyone advise, have you had this dilemma yourself?

By what you’ve described are you looking to add images to product variants? You mentioned that you have images for each component and would like to add them as product variants to your store. Below, I’ll share steps on how to add an image to a new variant. You can also add images to existing variants.

How to add images to a new variant:

  • Within your Shopify admin, go to Products.
  • Click the name of the product that you want to edit.
  • In the Variants section, click Add variant.
  • When creating the variant, click Add image on the variant details page.
  • Select a product image or click Add file to add a new image.
  • Click Done.
