How can I customize search results in the Prestige theme?

Topic summary

Goal: Make storefront search in the Prestige theme return guide pages when customers search for benefit keywords found in page content (e.g., “healthy scalp”), not just in titles.

Current behavior: Search seems to surface only items with the keyword in the title. Example: Searching “Stress relief” shows two blog posts with the term in their titles.

Content example: The page “guide-to-indian-basil-essential-oil” contains “Stress relief” under a “Benefits” section in its description, but it does not appear in search results.

Advice given: A participant stated Shopify search includes pages and products whose title and description contain the search term, suggesting adding desired keywords to descriptions.

OP’s update: Keywords are already present in the descriptions, yet those pages aren’t returned by search.

Status: No confirmed solution. The request is to modify or ensure search indexes descriptive content on pages; the issue remains unresolved and needs further guidance or configuration details.

Hello all,

I am using the Prestige theme in my store. I would like to enhance my storefront search results.

I sell incense & essential oils on my store. To help people select the best product, I have created a guide to all my oils - https://incensesticks.com/pages/essential-oil-guide which is a Shopify page.

Now all the links on this guide are shopify pages. I have included benefits of these oils so that the customers can have a clear idea.

Now I want the search to work in a way where if the customer searches for a particular benefit - eg: healthy scalp, then the results should bring up all the guides which is having that term in their description.

Currently the guide pages are brought up only when someone will search for the title of the oil. I want to modify this functionality to include the above mentioned results too.

Is there a way to do it?

Thanks!

Shopify include all pages and product whose title and description have the search term.

Try to change description in way that all your desired keywords becomes the part of the description.

Hope this will help…

Thanks for replying.

I have already created pages which includes the keywords but still its not showing in search results.

For a better understanding , you can go to my website - https://incensesticks.com/
Use the search feature in top right section and search for “Stress relief”. You will find only two blogs as its result which are containing the keyword in its title.

But I also have a page - https://incensesticks.com/pages/guide-to-indian-basil-essential-oil, which is containing this keyword in the description below “Benefits” heading. This is not appearing in the search results.

Any solution to this?
